Ramadan has come and gone. Eid is here, and it will be gone tomorrow. Before long, this year will have ended, and another will have begun. Days will be nights, and nights will be days; the sun will rise, and it will set. One day, I will die; and the world will be niether worse, nor any better.
After the extent of my own ignorance, the mediocrity of my existence has dawned upon me; and I have come to realize, with a fair amount of consternation, that the world revolves in an orbit completely different from the one around me. Fair consternation is begining to turn to absolute despair as visual evidence is mounting that the orbit is in fact deserted.
Oh well! Eid Mubarak.

Archimedes asked for a place to stand, so that he could move the Earth. Maybe you can do something similar and make the World move around you? (My guess is that you won’t be needing a lever anyway.)

im as old as i feel. today my bones feel 67, and my brain ancient (we didnt have calenders back then, but i vaguely recall that it was very very cold… icy even).
you know, i went thru a similar phase when i turned 22. to know i will never be 21 again.
and to think you will never be 29 again. you still have 3 hours and 34 minutes… live it up i say!

im confused. which was one? the fact that you are too old, or that you have bad memory, or that you are fat and havent had too many chances in your life or that you dont wish your 29 or anyone else???

Yazzo: Hemmie’d gone wandering with Owlie and Crayon when I conveyed that message…you need to check with Karrva he surely got the message, as did JB. So that is three stabbings and two unstabbings…comes out to one stabbing net…I say its Eid, stab on!
Thanks for the wishes. Its been a whole day almost and I have been able to walk without the help of the cane, eat solid food with my own teeth, and call two people Uncle…all that hoopla about 30 being too old is just that…hoopla…30 ain’t so different from … OUCH!

Sab ka shawwal ka roza tha Hemmie. It would have been sinful to serve food. There was iftari complete with hareesa, samosas, fruit chart, and mandi (mutton), but apparently you did not stay that long…
More important engagements I presume….living people and all!
